OBJECTIVE/SCOPE OF WORK CONTRACTOR shall furnish, install and complete all work as specified or indicated in the contract documents. The work is generally described as follows: Installation of various electrical components, cabinets and control panels throughout the wastawater treatment plant. Rehabilitation and re-equipping of the existing raw sewage pump station. Included in this is by-passing of raw sewage around the raw sewage pump station during rehabilitation and re-equipping activities. Installation of a second effluent pump at the effluent discharge/pump station. Included in this is inspection and refurbishing or replacement of the existing affluent pump mounting plate, supports and hardware. Rehabilitation and refurbishing of the existing traveling bridge filter including surface prep and repainting of interior and exterior metal, evaluation and possible replacement of under drain tiles and resealing of under drain tile joints prior to replacement of filter sand. Installation of a new high efficiency variable speed turbo blower to replace one of the existing centrifugal blowers, with the existing blower to be stored at the wastewater treatment plant for spare parts. Installation of permanent pipe supports (centingancy item) to support piping between the traveling bridge filter and influent channel. NOTE: Work on critical processes, such as the traveling bridge filter, will need to be carefully coordinated with plant staff and the engineer in order to ensure that affluent standards are met throughout the course of the project. PROPOSES To be considered, one (1) original and two (2) copies of the proposal must be provided and in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders included in the bid package. Said bid security shall be considered liquidated damages and shall be forfeited to the Town of Superior in the event the proposal is accepted and the successful bidder fails to execute the CONTRACT and furnish the required bonds within tan (10) workings days after the notice of bid award.
